About our Trikes

Unless you've already ridden the state of the art Hase "Kettweisel Ride" recumbent trike, you are in for a real "Wow, I had no idea!" experience. They pretty much allow all the joy of bike riding to prevail and eliminate all of the negatives (saddle sores anyone?). They go fast. They go really slow. They allow for total visibility and awareness of your surroundings due to your upright body position. Your shoulders, neck muscles, and arms are all relaxed and in an anatomically correct position. The seatback and seat are broad, supporting, and COMFORTABLE!

Balance is not an issue. It's a tricycle. You're sitting about 16" off the ground which makes the trikes almost impossible to tip. Stop completely, if you wish, and keep your feet on the pedals. Wind resistance is also cut dramatically due to your lower body positioning

The trikes hook up in tandem, triple, or more (more than 60 have been hooked up in-line). Each trike retains independent pedaling or coasting ability. In other words, riders of any ability or energy level can be part of the experience.

Pedaling power goes to both back wheels. Stay on the blacktop or take to the hiking trails and hills. Hase's exclusive rear differential is amazing.

If you thought you'd "finally arrived" when you were a kid and graduated from your 3 wheeler to a two wheel bike... well, guess what? Keep your two-wheeler but you're going to fall in love with 3 wheels all over again.

Trike rental includes

  • Door to door service. We'll pick up and return your party to anywhere along Highway 61 between Tettegouche State Park and Two Harbors at no additional cost. Your charged hours don't begin until you have actually started the triking or hiking experience. The trip back to your starting point is also at no additional charge.
  • Helmets are provided. (or bring your own if you prefer)
  • Full time availability of the support van and it's incredibly friendly and helpful driver. He will be there to assist you as much or as little as you desire.
  • Van amenities: trail snacks, hot and cold beverages, refills for trike water bottles, umbrellas (for hikes), depository for extra clothing, and a place to sit out a section of the trike trail if so desired.
  • Trail maps for both hiking and triking
  • Extra passengers: As long as your party is already renting four trikes, up to two extra passengers (with or without their own bikes) can ride along for an additional charge of $15.00 per person. There is plenty of room in the trailer for extra bikes.
