Welcome to the North Shore of Lake Superior
Trikes For Life Excursions provides a, fully supported and accompanied Triking and Hiking experience for just your group of up to four OR just your family of four. Our additional trike trailer can also expand your party by up to two pre-schoolers or maybe include a small to medium sized dog (or cat?)
Whether you may have physical or energy limitations or are an experienced, conditioned outdoor enthusiast matters not. You must, though, be seeking out new settings and be willing to allow the experience to dictate your pace. Just about the only thing we won't provide, in our fully supported excursions, is "the pace". There is no pace, no predetermined point to reach, no logistical needs to be considered along the way. The pace will evolve naturally from your group and your surrounding environment.
Our setting is Minnesota and the north shore of the largest fresh water lake in the world - Lake Superior. Three of Minnesota's premier state parks, Tettegouche, Split Rock Lighthouse, and Gooseberry Falls, provide the starting, middle, and potential finishing points for your Triking/Hiking Excursions.
A sampling of what your group or family of four will encounter: the Gitchi-Gami paved state trail running parallel to Lake Superior, a selection of gravel or hiking trails also suited to the trikes, total solitude, multiple waterfalls, 1/4 mile long small rock beaches, river mouths, high rock overlooks, four miles of unbroken hiking trails directly along the lake, historic Split Rock Lighthouse and History Center, unique restaurants and shops, plenty of restrooms, wildlife sightings and more.
